Stichting Surfpop

Mission

Stichting Surfpop was founded in 2019 as a non-profit organization with PBO/ANBI status in the Netherlands with the objective to raise funds and recruit volunteers within the European Union for Surfpop Foundation South Africa. Surfpop Foundation builds a sustainable future for children from South African townships through surfing, education, life coaching and nutrition.

In 2024, Stichting Surfpop aims to raise €40.000 and recruit 25 volunteers for Surfpop Foundation South Africa.

Meet our team

In compliance with the Dutch law for non-profit organizations, Stichting Surfpop has two directors: Dolf Hoeks and Bruno Mertens. Daniel Botha, founder of Surfpop Foundation South Africa, is an advisor to the board. Together they make sure that the Stichting is run in a responsible and sustainable manner in line with its mission statement. Dolf and Bruno are not remunerated for their roles as directors.
